Bristol Radical Film Festival
Festival Member
Bristol, UK
The Bristol Radical Film Festival screens contemporary and historical works of progressive formal and political filmmaking. The volunteer-run, zero-budget festival promotes and screens both classic and newly-released films that seek to disrupt, deconstruct, and divert from the mainstream.
At the events, films are a pretext for sustainable action and debate as much as they are important aesthetic and cultural objects in themselves. Discussions or Q&A's are held after every one of the screenings, as the films screened are part of larger cultural movements that audiences engage with, rather than simply objects of consumption. They festival aims build and support communities, with art, expression and collaboration as their focal point.
