Afrika Eye is Bristol’s annual film and arts festival and the South West's biggest celebration of African visual culture.
Founded in 2005 by two Bristol-based filmmakers, Zimbabwe-born Simon Bright and Ingrid Sinclair who lived and worked in southern Africa for nearly 20 years, it is now run by Annie Menter and Jessica Zausmer.
Its mission remains the same: to offer audiences of all ages and backgrounds opportunities to explore the richness of African creativity, culture and history, using film and arts to challenge stereotypes, dispel myths and explore the traditions and transformations across this vast continent.
